refresh reformat format windows 8.1 without losing files or settings = how much DO I loose?

if i run the W8.1 'refresh without losing data or settings', will I loose anything at all? like my favorites and desktop shortcuts and all the little settings I changed? or is it basically I won't even know I did it (except for better performance hopefully)?

I checked some videos etc but couldn't really find this out. it seems it will at least install new apps which I will more than likely just delete like almost all the other W8 apps I did.

thanks but i never reset my phone, so im not certain if you meant that i won't lose things like my desktops shortcuts, favorites, and all my little tweaks. although it sound like from context, that I won't, I just want to make sure. thanks.

it DOES remove a lot of settings, but not your ie favs or desktop shortcuts. it actually deletes all the programs you installed (I knew it would remove apps it said but I thought that meant the stupid little app things I never even use or download extras). But it at least tells you afterwards a list of them so you can redownload. It can take hours to go back and redo all the tweaks you set (if you even remember what you did), but I guess it's better then a regular reformat having to save all your data. It removes everything from screen resolution to internet options specs etc.
