Approximate Purchase Date: Next month

Budget Range: Lets say 500-600 to start with

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Watching and recording live OTA HD tv, Netflix/Hulu Plus/Amazon instant, web surfing, etc.

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: No I have windows 7 pro 64-bit

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon, Newegg

Location: Ohio, USA

Parts Preferences: None

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I have Time Warner Cable at the moment with a DVR box. I want to cancel my cable, watch and record OTA tv, and watch netflix/hulu plus/amazon instant. Also, I have 4 tvs in my house, 3 of those may be on at the same time so it needs to be able to handle that. I would like to be able to record 3 shows while watching one, so 4 tuners?

Thanks in advance! If I forgot something ask me!

Nice build! Along with this stuff I will need some OTA antenna such as the Mohu Leaf and I will need 2 wmc extenders (since I already have an xbox 360 for one tv and the main tv will be the one with the htpc) such as the ceton echo correct?

Yes, you will need an antenna and some sort of WMC extenders. I have a similar setup at my house. I use a roof-top antenna and two Hauppauge HVR-2250 tuner cards to capture OTA HD broadcasts. I have the tuner cards in my main computer and use an Xbox 360 to stream to the TV in the living room. It works very well for me and I've been doing it for years.

Oh I still need wifi because the htpc won't be in the same room as my router/modem. Whats a good wifi adapter I can use? Is this good? Any advice to reduce the cost or anything other suggestions? Thanks!

Also, what is considered local sports? I've read that I will only get the sports that my local channels play. I live in Ohio and my dad likes watching the Reds, would we be able to watch the Reds games?
