Hello, I have an Asus A85 XM-A mobo... and an a10 6800k apu. The apu can support 2400 mhz ram i believe... but the motherboard apparently says that it works with 1866/1600/1333 etc... Does this mean that I won't be able to overclock my 1600 mhz ram to 2400 mhz? The bios has a 2400 mhz ram setting too... Using Ripjaws X ram

Solution
Feel free to try it, and if it doesn't work, you can set it down to DDR3-1866 or DDR3-1600, then work your way up from there.

For overclocking, you will need to boost the CPU-NB Voltage to stabilize the memory controller. The RAM can be overclocked, don'tworry

Can you give me a few graphs or few overclock settings? Using a hyper 212 evo to cool the 6800k
