Hi All,
Yesterday I faced the issue, "Asus anti-surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply". My PC is just one week old. I was running NFS Rivals maxed out and suddenly my AC power was cut. I have a 600VA Numeric UPS for backup. But as soon as the main power was cut, the system restarted with the message "Asus anti-surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply". I am really stuck with this issue and I am worried that I might have damaged my new PC. i have also connected my Benq GW2255 monitor to the UPS.

Kindly help me with the following doubts:

1. Have I already damaged any of my components, especially my CPU or GFX card ?

2. Is my UPS under powered ?

3. Will replacing the UPS to 1KVA solve the issue or it the Asus BIOS issue ?

4. Is that a problem with my PSU - Corsair VS 550 ?

5. Have any one experienced this before ?

My PC Specs are:

Corsair VS 550 PSU

FX - 6300

Corsair vengeance 8GB

Sapphire R9 270x

Seagat Barracuda

ASUS M5A78 LM/USB 3

Numeric 600 VA UPS

Solution
1. Could be a PSU problem. The VS are not certified PSUs.

2. Yes - you need at least 1000VA

3. Don't know - might be UPS, PSU or mobo.

4. Could be

5. Probably.

Get a better UPS and power supply.
