Hey :) How y'all?

my problem:

GPU Fan starts spinning and works properly upto 15mins of skyrim.(works well on light usage).

after this my screen goes green totally ! could still hear the music!

i checked the GPU fan... ufff! :( :( it wasn't spinning so i did a restart and checked the temps via MSI after burner they were @ 100-110C

the fan control doesn't seem to work any suggestions Mates???

i cleaned the GPU and the slot with compressed air so that wont be the problem...... I Guess! :p

My Specs:

XFX GTX260

Corsair cx430

4GB of Corsair RAM

1TB HDD

core2duo

Quite the opposite if I remember correctly, the cx series are quite bad, so are the builder series, but the higher tier ones from corsair are good, how long have you had the psu for?

You may have worked the card too hard and forced it into shutdown? You say it was at 100-110, but clearly that can't be right, but still, it would have been very hot, is it okay now?

Yup... cards fine... I actually played just for half an hour played it for hours together before no issues back then.. it went to 100 when the fan stopped man!!!!... but fan works after restarting....

yeah, if teh fans don't work, the temps will rise very quickly :') It may just be a one off, play some more games and if it happens again, maybe it's the card's fault

awww :( :(

So after messing around wid the fan speed settings setting the fan at 50% seems to stabilize the situation.... testing will edit back soon...

=======
EDIT 1==
=======

Playing skyrim wid ENB for 10 mins now fan seems to be ok and temp is under 65......

ahhh it may not be the gpu after all then, 50% speed should be okay at cooling

Hope so ... may i could install liquid cooling :( but its not worth it will do that to the 270x if possible....

So its the just the fan then????

If you get a good aftermarket r9 270, no watercooling is required, like the sapphire r9 270x or xfx or asus and yes, probably just the fan
