Hey guys! I am in dire need of your help. I am experiencing severe bsod issues with my newly built system. My specs are:

CPU: Intel I5 4690
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H97M-HD3
GPU: Sapphire R9 290
PSU: Corsair VS 650 (650Watts)
Memory: Kingston DDR3 8GB 1600MHz CL10 HyperX Fury Red Series
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB
SSD: Intel 330 120GB (My system drive)

I get these bsods approximately 4-5 times a day. They just happen at random, sometimes when playing games, sometimes when browsing the web and sometimes when doing absolutely nothing at all.

Here's what BlueScreenView says: http://

Here's what WhoCrashed says:

On Fri 8/8/2014 6:10:19 AM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\080814-4274-01.dmp

description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This problem might be caused by a thermal issue.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

It says here that the crashes might be caused by driver problems, but I doubt it is so. I have done a clean Windows install and it gave me a bsod when nothing else but the Intel chipset driver was installed.

I have also run chkdsk on both my ssd and hdd with no problems detected. The Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool came up with nothing. I have also replaced my SATA cables and reseated my memory module.

The system crashed when using both the Intel integrated gpu and my R9 290, so i doubt the gpu is faulty. All my drivers are up to date. Could my Mobo or my Cpu be to blame?

I have tried just about everything i can think of. I hope you can help me solve this issue.

Ok so I entered BIOS and here's what it says there about the memory:

System Memory Multiplier- 16.00 Auto
Memory Boot Mode- Auto
Memory Frequency- 1600 MHz
Memory Enhancement Settings- Normal
Profile DDR Voltage- 1.50V
CAS Latency- 10
DRAM Voltage- 1.488V

Should I try lowering the memory frequnecy from BIOS?

It seems the problem was caused by the generic SATA/AHCI driver installed by Windows. After installing the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver, my system has been bsod-free for more than 8 hours. It appears it was a driver related issue after all.

I would like to thank you for your help, Outlander.
