lost memory while installing ubunto

yesterday i tried to install ubunto on my labtop which has windows 8.2 in it. when i completed the installation i did not find my
windows at all. myh orginal hdd was one terra but now it became 550 Gbit only. how can i deal with this issue? help me please.

My opinion is - apart from that you are from the future and this is a joke as Windows 8.2 is not out yet - that you formatted the whole hard drive thus deleting windows altogether.
If it was in 2 partition though might be that Ubuntu simply doesnt see the windows partition. Also Gb (gigabit) is not the same as GB (gigabyte).
In this case try modifying the boot process.
