i3 versus i5 for a GTX750

I am aware the GTX750 is not a top-of-the-line card, but it fits the bill for my minimal load of StarCraft II, Diablo III, and Heroes of the Storm at max settings.

My question is: Will the i3 (specifically the i3-4150 3.5GHz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116995) be a solid team with the GTX750? Will I see any issues in not going quad-core i5, or is this processor perfect for the GPU?

Thank you for your time!

Yes this processor is hyper-thread and the performance is like 4 cores in 2 physical cores. You'll not have a single cause of worry with the CPU-GPU combo of i3 and 750.
You'll not have any regret not going for i5 if you wish to play those kind of games(not the latest at max, I mean).

A i5 is required only if you wish to play the latest games like BF4 on max settings or do some good video rendering or VFX.

awesome. I understand my 'wants' out of a computer, and I know they would rarely wander in the fields of 'next-gen/4k/multi-display' craziness as I am primarily a console gamer for those sorts of things. I may just jump up to a GTX760 now that I know I can save with the i3 now though! (maybe even 770, but don't tell my wife!). So if the i3 can handle that, then that absolutely answers my questions!

Thank you very much, I may just go pick a better GPU now!

I was just about to post another forum question, but thank you for bringing it up! will this GPU fit in with this Mother Board and case?

EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2765-KR GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card

ASRock H97M Pro4 LGA 1150 Intel H97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157512

Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, comes with Three Fans-1x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1x Top 140mm Fan, 1x Rear 120mm Fan, option Fans-2x Side 120mm Fan

so will those all fit together? From what I can see (I've never built a PC before) the GPU might not fit on the board based on where the RAM slots are. Will it fit, or do I need a new board? They should fit in the case fine

Phew! I was exceptionally worried for a second! Thank you very much, again, as helpful as I have ever experienced before! I keep try to click 'pick as solution' but it just reloads the page and does not select you, I am sorry :(
