Hi there, just a guest here but am having some trouble.
I've had my custom PC for about a year and a half now (specs below) and added a second screen about 6 months ago, but only in the last week I seem to have started having some problems with my screen, and I'm presuming the graphics card. As soon as I booted my PC late last week, the main monitor (both monitors down the bottom) was filled top to bottom with this green and grey "static". I'm just calling it static because I'm not sure what it is. Thing is, my secondary screen remains untouched by the static, it's still fully usable when the static is on the main screen. But when I unplug the main screen, the second screen goes static! This is what makes me think it is the graphics card, as the screens can be fine for between 5 minutes - 1 hour or not at all in a night. Even going to write this out, it's pooped out twice, so it's very unpredictable and very annoying.

Please help, thank you in advance for responces

The standard checks need to be done.

Ensure the Graphics Card is firmly seated in its PCIe x16 slot (not at an angle) and that the power connectors are securely attached to the card. If necessary, reseat the card to confirm faultless installation. Cards can 'creep' out of their slots over time due to expanding and contracting as the card heats and cools from use.

Ensure you have the latest (non-Beta) drivers installed and that you have fully removed your old drivers before new driver's installation. Do this by going to Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Display Adapters > Right Click GPU > Select 'Properties' > Select ' Drivers' tab > Click 'Uninstall' then go to [/b] Control Panel > Programs and Features > Add / Remove Programs[/b] and ensure your drivers aren't listed there. If they are Uninstall them.

Reboot and install new drivers. Reboot again.

You could also try the card in a different machine / different PCIe x16 slot to see if it demonstrates the same behaviour. That would rule out faulty slot.

I will have a poke around inside and reinstall the drivers. Unfortunately I cannot test the card in another computer as this is the only Windows computer in the house.
