Are the FX-Series CPU's still worth it?

I'm thinking about doing a build with the fx 6300/8320, but I don't know if it is worth it,
because the CPU's are fairly outdated (in my opinion).
The build is about having to play games like Dirt: Showdown, Fifa and Need for Speed for at least 1080p high setting for two years wtihout upgrading.
I'm not in a hurry, so i'm thinking about waiting 'till the 5th gen Intel cpus.
Do you recommend waiting for the next gen Intel cpus, or will I be fine with the fairly outdated FX-series?

if you are planing on single player mostly then sure go for fx, but if youl be playing hefty amount of online multiplayer, the fx will let you down, no matter how far you would oc it single thread performance is just not there(all online games require a lot stronger cpu's than gpu's), so you would be a lot better of going with intel
