hello guys
In the beggining i was sure i was going for the fx 6300 and a kind of cheap motherboard for it for no overclocking :/
but than i said better get an i5 for future proof :/ i wont upgrade much i want this cpu to last a few years :/
Now im on kind of a budget and this is the i5 i found :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-i5-4570S-2-9-GHz-Quad-Core-Processor-/171412328484?pt=CPUs&hash=item27e8f89024
It comes with free shipping for me because Greece is next to Albania (Where i live)
But i dont know what to do if i should purchase it or not because this guy isnt a trusted seller i think cos he got only 3 sales :/ IN TOTAL
And he says that he bought the cpu at 7/2014 :/ U think i should risk getting a used 1 or just get a new fx 6300

That is an i5 4570S.

The S models have lower TDP and thus will limit their clock speeds more aggressively than base or the K-models. Anandtech said this at announcement: Base core clocks as well as maximum Turbo Boost clocks are basically dictated by the TDP, with the 4770S being less likely to maintain maximum turbo most likely, - he then said that the i5-series basically repeat the i7 series, but without hyper-threading.

Next, there are a few things I would be kind of not too happy to buy online or used. CPUs are one of them.

If I was you, I'd stick with my original plan to get an FX 6300.

Would be cool to make a list of i5's from top to bot and their performance change xD

If you can get it for that price, $190 USD, it might be worth it since most European i5s are around $240 USD (180 euros). Because of that, I'd say it's worth it. He also has good feedback from other customers. The only problem is you'd have to buy your own thermal paste because the thermal paste on the stock cooler he'd send you will be dried out and not usable. Anyway, in my opinion, I think the CPU should be fully functional.

If you still don't want to take the risk, get an i3. You'll still be happy with this:

In some games actually, that i3 will perform better than the i5-4570S due to higher stock clocks. Most games will still only need 2 cores or even still just 1 core. People say multi-threading is where games are headed but that's not true. Most games still heavily use 1 core. For reference, I have an i5-4690k at 4.3 GHz. In Assassin's Creed IV I get 60 fps. Out of curiosity, I went into my BIOS and disabled all my cores except for one, and when I played Assassin's Creed IV I still got between 40 - 45 fps in the same areas. Multi-threading in games is not huge. That i3 will still outperform an FX-6300 80% of the time, AND it'll outperform that i5-4570S 60% of the time too, probably.
