This may seem like a silly question but I am planing on ordering a GTX 780 ti of amazon (8/8/14)
But I won't use the GPU until the end of august around the 31st of maybe the first of September but if I leave it somewhere dry and in its box it should be fine correct?

P.S I am also going to be bringing abroad with me from Ireland to Dubai is there any risk of anything breaking it such as X-rays (though I doubt it) if I carry it as hand luaggage

Cheers

Just be careful, they might start being weird about eletronic stuff.

As long as you keep it dry it should be fine and you cannot get it through an air port, new law states that any electrical items must be able to turn on .to .show it. is not a bomb...you may have to buy it and then get it delivered to your location!

Nope it seems as long as it's hand language it's fine and if it is a concern it will checked via X-ray. It's not a restricted item by any airline. And I'm not even in the US so the TSA won't bother me

I have just got back from holiday and almost got in trouble for having a phone that ran out of charge, they still confiscate it from any UK Airline but he might aswell just get it posted to Dubai to save time and any inconvenience if there is any.

Ive brought other electrical surf through and into Dubai so I'll be fine. And I'm sure the GPU will be well and fine it's a new one straight from EVGA to amazon. Anyway it has EVGA customer support what I heard is really good.
