Wireless Router: adding second wireless rounter using Eithernet chack in basement due to low signal on middle floor

I need to add a second wireless router in basement by using live eithernet jack in basement.

the Middle floor has modem connected to 100gb switch distributing to all rooms in the house and wireless router but "basement has little to no signal".

I have eithernet jack in basement that receives signal from 100gb distribution switch.

How do I connect a second wifi router in basement using the withernet jack?

Do you have the basement router setup as an access point only?

What port are you connecting to the main network (WAN VS. LAN - different routers will tell you to use either the LAN or WAN port when utilizing in access point mode)?

Have you tried connecting directly to the ethernet jack using a laptop or desktop (no router installed)?

Connect it to a lan port and use your router as a AP. You could use the wan port if you need a different network but is is generally simpler to run only 1 network in your house
