motherboard asus p8h61 lx 3 r2.0
gpu asus gtx 660
psu 600w with 6pin and 8 pin pcie connector

I'm confident it's the PSU after checking that out. I would suggest buying a new PSU, if you cannot afford one at the current time, I would underclock your video card slightly and lower the power target as well and see if that helps.

Also, I suggest looking for brand with a higher reputation, the quality of your PSU is very important. The PSU can make or break (literally) your system by providing bad current. Look into Seasonic, Corsair, EVGA, etc...

DVI to VGA adapter is not the issue, what is the make and model of your PSU. If it's a lower quality one it could be outputting less than 500w... Also is your video card a reference GTX660. Is your onboard video disabled, that could cause conflicts as well.

thanks lmah.my psu is VIP 600w psu. but my computer is running fine while not playing games.also ac3 can be run on medium but not on high.and what do you mean by onboard video disabled.plz explain it to me i have a i3 2100cpu.when i previously was having a 210 i was having not a problem at all.also my psu is having 6 pin and 8 pin pcie connector.so this means i should be able to run this card as this card requires single 6pin pcie connector.

The obvious thing would be the PSU, as it's a no-name PSU without any information available. If my googling results are correct (and this is fairly unlikely due to poor information) then it might only have a 36A +12V rail which means that despite being labelled as a "600W" PSU, it might be much closer to 400W in reality.
Now a GTX660 can run fine on a 400W PSU, but that doesn't take into account how stable the delivery is. In a poor quality PSU, it could be highly likely that as soon as you apply any kind of meaningful load, it dies.

Edit - if you want more information about your PSU -check the label on the side and report back to us (picture would be good if you can) as it'll give a bit more specific information. Like I said above though, it might be a quality rather than a capacity issue.
