Music Player That Supports 5.1

Hay guys, im looking for a music player that supports 5.1 surround sound. Windows Media Player and VLC dont seem to make use off my 5.1 surround sound and only uses the sub, left and right speaker and not the other 3.

So is there any other music player for windows 7 that supports 5.1

Hay Phillip, i did set it like that and tested it, and my whole 5.1 seems to work, but my music only plays in 2.1. So i am assuming that my audio quality of my songs is 2.1 and not 5.1

Hello,

In the Winamp era, the Pro version could play the 5.1 tracks and could emulate 5.1 from stereo; however, for full 5.1 support you should have DTS audio tracks; there are some programs which can convert a stereo track into DTS one, but you must search the program that suits you best (depending on your kind of audio: track, mp3, FLAC, etc).

well all you ask for would be splendid but music (cd's and other media formats ) are recorded in stereo sound. converting it (on your receiver) might actuly distort the quality of the recording.

i would love to (probably as much as you'd love to) get the music playing in 5.1 like you can hear it in the movies or tv series like hawaii five o and others where sound is beuautifully spread on 5 channels but i still haven't found a player that does it good.
dont forget, i repeat, music isn't recorded in 5.1 but in stereo format
