I have a VA1912wb model viewsonic lcd monitor for my pc. I am starting to face this problem that the monitor turns on with blinking green light and black screen. But the system turns on perfectly fine as after a few seconds when the system boots up completely i tried to reset my monitor through the main power and it worked. The main problem is that now everytime i need to switch on my pc i have to repeat the same steps. This does not happen when i restart the system after logging in. Kindly advise.

I believe it's a bad capacitor. I have the similiar issue like yours with my old viewsonic vx monitor. It started out just like yours and after a few weeks, the monitor will not turn on at all no matter how many times I reset the main power. So, I just send it to the local recycle center,bought a new 1080p ips and call it a day.
