No those temps are okay generally anything under 90c is safe for the 780. Between 75-85 is where you want to be under load.

Boost 2.0 will throttle the card once it gets to 81C. Unless you manually override boost 2.0's target temp you will not pass 81C. Nvidia has determined that their Boost 2.0 cards can operate under 81C for long durations without risking damage
