Is his a good build for productivity as well as some occasional high-end gaming. A lot lf coding, ms office, some youtube-level editing, and other schoolwork as well as some occasional gaming,
Specs:
CPU: i7 4790K
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
RAM: 8GB (haven't decided which brand but will be 1866mhz or above). Or save a few quid and go with 1600?
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
GPU: overclocked R9 290
Motherboard: ASUS Z97- WS
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Black

Omitted power supply as I don't know which one to get
Also, is 16GB RAM worth it as my video editing is only short (20 minutes or less) gameplay recordings at 1080p on youtube,

Would you please tell me what you think of my build
much appreciated
Thanks

Couldn't find the z97 on pcpartpicker, but anyway I completed your build with a great power supply, one of the best r9 290s (Falls only behind the vapor-x from what I know) and good ram.
