Hi, I have a Cooler Master Seidon 240m with an AMD FX 8350 running at 4.0Ghz.
Suddenly the pump began to make some noises, like a hard drive but 3x times louder.
I read that it could be trapped air bubbles, already shake the case to get rid of it.
The strange thing is, the first time that happened (which was really louder) was while I was playing Battlefield 4. I turned off my pc, waited 2min, and turned on again. It stopped. But yesterday same thing happened again.
I read something about the pump connector, that it should be connected into a power fan instead of a CPU fan.
My motherboard is an 990FX Killer Fatal1ty.
I have the fans connected into the top connector which reads "CPU_FAN1" (4pin connector) and the pump connected to the PWR_FAN (3pin connector). Is that right?

Try connecting the pump to a CPU_Fan header.
It sounds like a faulty pump, though. I've had this issue with an Antec water cooler before.
RMA it if it bothers you. :)

So, I made a video of the noise: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfZgAezxMH0
The strange thing is that if I reboot the pc (turn off, wait 5 seconds turn on) the noise is gone. But it happens always after a 30min or 1hr of Battlefield 4.
Also I changed the pump connector.
Another thing that is bothering me is the profile for the fans. Actually I have the sliders in fan control like this:
Its set to Level 1 and the temp at 45 degrees. (Don't know exactly what temperature is this, cause my processor normally is at 20~30 degrees. And after that temperature hit 45º the fans will be at full speed (Level10). And after that that the noise starts, and I am pretty sure that its coming from the pump.
I dont want to have to RMA the watercooler but I will try contacting the vendor.
Also I have a Cooler Master V8 here, will try to switch to it today and see how the temps go.

Alex, how did you solve your problem with the Antec Watercooler?

Wow.... that is seriously louuud. My Antec was tolerable, and a friend of mine found it bearable and bought it off me for cheap. You need to return yours though, it's not normal at all. :(

Yeah, that does sound like a faulty unit, RMA would be the best option here.

Also there's something really wrong here...

Take a look at those temps...
And here using OpenHardwareMonitor:

I will switch to my Cooler Master V8 and will RMA the Seidon.
