Hi,
Going to update my rig.
And got crosair vengeance pro 2x8gb 2400 MHz , also I have Samsung 840 evo 250gb SSD and WD black 1TB hard disk for backups and stuff.
What motherboard and CPU should I buy. This is for game mainly.
I thought about asrock Z97 extreme 4

AsRock Z97 Extreme4 and i5-4690k would be good choices if you can afford them.

Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 or Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0, and fx6300 or fx8350.. best bang for the buck

Hi,
Thanks for the replay. Not true according to Tom's hardware test. There is an article on the front page comparing boards at the range of 120$-160$ .
Way do you think they are better?
Also I don't think to overclock it.... This is way I got 2400Mhz of the box. I want this rig to last for 5+ years and don't want to distroy the hardware with overclocking it.
I know that asrock is very modifiable so is there something else, cheaper, with less modifications, dual channel RAM, fit the Z97 chip set?
Thanks

I'd go with a 550-650W power supply from tiers 1-2, that way you'll have headroom for future GPU upgrades: https://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware...

What about the CPU?
To go with the i5 or i7? I think that the i5 will do but which version ?

The i5-4690k would do. I you are absolutely sure that you won't overclock, get the non-k version paired with an AsRock H97 Pro4 board.
