I'm trying to build a desktop in the 800 - 900 dollar range and I came up with these specs. I would want to use this for gaming on high - ultra settings. I'm also wondering about the quality of the parts. I've heard amd is crap compared to intel, but is it a noticeable difference? I am also using Ibuypower.com, building it myself would probably end badly.

Thanks :)

You are going to need a higher wattage and better quality power supply if you want to run that processor and gpu.
Also, I dont know what you are planning in terms of sound system...but usually you dont need a sound card.

what do you suggest in terms of a power supply, I'm going to use a smaller television with hdmi connectivity, it has a built in speaker, but i will probably just use a headset.

Hello pXNitmarE,

I am working with a new and great business that knows all the specs that are high quality and will get all your games running on high+ graphics. We also go ahead and build you PC and send it to you ready to go in just under a week! To answer you question about AMD vs Intel, you can get a higher quality AMD for way cheaper that still runs very well. Usually cheaper builds like yours I would recommend a AMD because of price. However if you really want to but in the extra money an Intel can be worth it. A i5 or i7 are both good but if you get an intel at your price range it would be better to go with an i5. And actually I ave the same Amd as you and its great! Go to http://all-terrainpc.webs.com/ and they will put the best possible computer for your price!!!

Their facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/AllTerrainPCs

Thank you!
