Currently, my PC has a CX600M in it. What's a good replacement modular PSU for not too much money (UK), preferably 750W. This was bound to happen at some point so just scoping ideas. I'm just considering the idea of switching this PSU out for a better one

Whilst I'm here, what frames should I expect for BF4 on ultra running on i5 4570 @3.2 GHz, GTX 760 OC 2GB, 16GB RAM @1600MHz

I'm getting between 45 and 90 something frames. GeForce Experience says max the game out, the game says play on high

Last I checked they were within 10 degrees of each other. In the 60s for my processor and low 70s for the GPU

It's Asus' Direct CU II Overclock one. I've suspected this card is not as it should be done Borderlands first played up. It's still under warranty so I could get it refunded and bump up to a 770 by passing difference (a 780 would be way too much and the processor would probably not be up to it). Windows has, in the past, reported Video Hardware Errors but this disappeared with some new drivers, until the other day during a driver update. Probably do a PSU change too even though there's nothing wrong with my existing one

Part of the reason I hadn't returned to sender yet was because they didn't have the 770 in stock and I last had issues so long ago

Hmm, well considering your temps are that high for a card that should easily stay cool, I suggest you return it and go for the 770! You'll be really happy with it and it'll future proof your system for a year or three longer. :)
You PSU isn't causing your issues, but it wouldn't hurt to upgrade to something less cheaply made (like what I linked).

What if I paired my processor with a 780. Would it be able to take it? Still trying to find a solid PSU to power it all. The 760 was giving good frames when it started but it seems to have gone bad

What about this unit? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Antec-True-Power-750W-Supply/dp/B00HGB8X3W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1407573538&sr=8-2&keywords=antec+750+w

Asus' 780 cuts it fine, leaving 0.1 inch of space in my case

Now, I'm a little confused. Ran BF4 again and both the CPU and GPU ran at 100% or near it so neither was slowing the other down and it held around 60 fps maxed out (or at least I left it on that setting yesterday). So, what could be causing the slowdowns when everything kicks off. The system doesn't seem to like PhysX or Tress FX, but everything says it should handle it fine.

I actually found that Antec one too. Was thinking of going with that one, just deciding what to do with this GPU

Using the estimated power requirement +20% rule (remember reading this rule somewhere), a 600W PSU wouldn't cut it, plus CX units are the budget kind. Strange thing is this is now closer to the original intended spec (axcept the GPU is far stronger) from before it was revised to the final build. Only difference is I paid more for it and have twice the storage
