Hello, i don't know what cpu to choose! I'll buy a r9 290 tri-x and i thought a h97 with i5-4670 because ocing doesn't change too much performance in games... so what do you say ??

The options are these:

- Asus z97-A with i5-4670k / i5-4690k (i5-4670k so in a future i'll directly upgrade to i5-5xxx)
- AsRock Fatal1ty H97 Performance with i5-4670/ i5-4690 (same as above :))

Thanks you guy :).

If you would like to overclock and go for the Asus motherboard with the 4670k. Also if the price difference is very small betweeen the 4670k and 4690k go for the 4690k. You wont need to upgrade for a while. The 4670k/4690k are very good cpu's.

Ok, but i don't want to go with k because oc isn't useful in gaming for me point of view... :).

ahahaha phineas and ferb buddies :p I'd advise you not too, by overclocking a cpu, you can make it last 1 year or more longer than its locked counterpart

With Haswell-R, how can i oc with hyper 212 evo ??

with hyper evo you can get some good overclocks on a i5 4690k, you just go into BIOS and overclock it

Yes, the problem are the money... i spend €60+ just to oc the cpu and have 5-7 fps difference ? I don't know it it's worth it. I'll ask to Phineas xd.

Well if you don't think that's a good investment a i5 4690 will be okay too, but if I have the money, I'd always go for a 'k' model, as if overclocked, can last longer than the locked version

AHHAHA Ok :D

So, i finally decided:

I'll buy AsRock h97 performance with i5-4670.
I had many pcs.. and i always wanted much.... much.... muchhh.... but, this time, i can say that overclock in the moment that you'll use your pc isn't so important... I'm pretty sure that is good... after all, if a i5-4670 last not to much, i can always buy a i5-5670 :)))
I say this after buying a y300 as smartphone... i had to choose between s2 Plus and y300... i went with the last one... cuz the user experience never change...
Overclock or not... it just changes the avarage lifespan (that is already many with my i5-4670)... like an ssd... much people say ssd last few... well, i can see that "few" is meant like "30 years"ahahaha... I run on a pentium g860 system not oc in thiz moment, and i can't see the need to oc... too if i could... it's not worth it IMO...
Thanks for the ansers :)
Now i go playing Counter strike xd

np, I'm silver elite master on cs go, not very good at it ^^
