Hi,

I'm looking to build a new gaming pc.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Z3KzFT

The only problem I have with the motherboard is in the description it says"Memory
4 x DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory
* Due to a Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than the size of the physical memory installed.
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 3000(O.C.) / 2933(O.C.) / 2800(O.C.) / 2666(O.C.) / 2600(O.C.) / 2500(O.C.) / 2400(O.C.) / 2200(O.C.) / 2133(O.C.) / 2000(O.C.) / 1866(O.C.) / 1800(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333 MHz memory modules
Support for non-ECC memory modules
Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules
(Please refer "Memory Support List" for more information.)"

That's kind of worried me and put me off buying it.

I have found another motherboard that I think is compatible it's a
MSI Z97 GAMING 5, Intel Socket 1150 Performance Motherboard

Which ones better overall?

Solution
If you get a 64-Bit OS, there is nothing to worry about. 32-Bit OS's only support up to 4GB of memory. And you will need a Pro version of windows or higher to be able to use more than 16GB of memory.

The 2nd link did not work but the Gigabyte board will do nicely for you.

Just make sure that your windows OS is 64-Bit and you can have up to 32GB of memory or more depending on the mobo. Home premium versions are limited to 16GB. And 32-Bit windows is limited to only 4GB.

EDIT:
That above is just a warning because sometimes people buy lot's of memory and load a 32-Bit OS and do not know why only 4GB or less is showing up and being used.

The G1 sniper is Z97 and has sata express doesn't it? I'm tempted to get it. Sorry what does QC mean? Should I go for a different manufacture for my GPU I was planning on getting a MSI GeForce GTX 770 4GB TWIN FROZR Video Card over the gigabyte version.

The last I checked, the GA-G1.SNIPER Z97 does not have sata express or M.2 support. If you do not plan on using either type of those devices then the board would be an excellent choice. The GA-Z97X-UD3H supports both. And will save you some money. Personally, I would pick the GA-Z97X-Gaming 7.

Well to be honest I'm not 100% sure maybe in the future but a the moment I don't really have a need for it as it has 6 sata 6gb/s and I plan on getting 2 SSDs and 1 hdd and it supports RAID which is good for back up. It depends on price too I've got about £120 for the motherboard. And a £1,300 budget for this rig

I'm still deciding I'm not sure if I will cause as I said before I was gunna use the SATA 6gb/so is data express and m.2 going to fade out sata 6gb/s? I'veallready got my CPU got the 4690K. If I do get the gaming 7 is my cooler still compatable cool master 212 EVO? I could use the money saved get a 780?

Right now I am at 1152 x 824 resolution. Still using an old 19inch square monitor too. Don't much like the wide ones as they make everything seem wider than they really are.

Am at level 45 now in Borderlands 2 and have just gotten Mortal Kombat Komplete and am starting to learn the fighting moves. The first Borderlands was funner and it wasn't a cloud based game. Although it dis have the option to go online and team up with up to 3 other vault hunters.

EDIT:
Get the best you can afford. My gtx 295 has a lifetime warranty and I will keep using it till it cannot keep up with anything I want to play. It handled Crysis and Crysis 2 easily. Haven't tried Crysis 3 yet. Same with Far Cry and Far Cry 2.

Sounds pritty good, well I'm wanting to run dual screen at 1080p maybe a higher res that's why wanted the 770 4gb but the 780 isn't much more but again as games are needing more VRAM these days I could go for the 6gb which costs more but it's future proofed

That monitor will work. Has an excellent response time of 2ms. But as far as I can tell, the max resolution is, 1920x1080. If you really want to utilize the power of either GPSs, you will need a monitor that can be set up to much higher resolutions.

This is why comp gaming is better that console gaming. You can get monitors that will go so much higher in resolutions and the GPUs will handle it easily. That monitor has basically the same resolution of a HD TV while your GPU is made for a lot better & higher resolutions.

Hmm well what resalution would you sugest , I'd like to have a dual screen set up which isn't going to cost a bomb and I'd prefer to play at high/ ultra if possible at a playable FPS. I'm not sure if my system will be powerful enough ATM though.

I know don't really want to spend too much on te monitor. I do agree with you though I should go for a higher res monitor otherwise it's not worth getting a 770 or780 I just want smooth gaming really.
