I want to upgrade from the Radeon HD 7660D. Should i stay with AMD or are there better nVidia cards? I'm looking at the R9 270X. Also need a new psu. Budget for both: $200-250

I'm new to upgrading, so tell me if i missed anything.
Also, will this make my CPU a bottleneck?

The A10-5700 is a locked APU and can only be overclocked (To avoid or reduce the bottleneck) using the base clock which will affect everything else and is not recommended except for a very small overclock which probably doesn't help the problem. The A10-5800K is an unlocked APU which you could probably upgrade to although it's an additional expense and you don't have a real great board there for overclocking anyway.

You could get an R9 270 and a good PSU for well within your budget though and would probably get better results without the bottleneck, or at least not much (If any):

You might be ok with the 270X, I'm unsure with that APU, but you will pay significantly more for it compared to the 270.
