Moving games from Steam

I was wondering is it possible to move games I have installed through Steam on my laptop to the Steam I have on my desktop. Both profiles are the same. It's just I have really slow Internet and I won't be able to re-download all my games again that way. Thanks

It's possible, just move the contents of C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common from your laptop to the desktop. Then log in to Steam on the desktop, and start to download the games you just moved. Steam will look for existing files for a couple of minutes per game, and then the games will be playable.
