So this will be my first build.
I'm wanting to play it safe and go for air cooling.
What i'm currently thinking of:

Case: NZXT phantom 410 - black
power: Corsair RM Series 850W
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 4790K 4.0 GHz
cooling: ???? [A Cooler Master Hyper 412s?]
motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
memory: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 24GB DDR3-1866
Hard disk: 3000 GB Sata III hard disk
graphics card: Nvidia gtx 780 TI 3GB
operating system: Windows 8.1 Pro NL 64Bit

I'm planning on playing games like minecraft, crysis and skyrim [heavily modded].
i'm also planning on rendering alot and recording.

Solution
CM hyper 212 evo would be the minimum.

If you're not streaming, get a i5... It'll play just as well as an i7. Hyperthreading does very little. If anything probably just an extra frame or two.

I would recommend changing the i7 to an i5 if you're doing 'just' gaming. i7's can be used for gaming but are normally used for rendering rather than just gaming. Use the extra cash on another products or case mods if you wish; or maybe save up. The rest of the build is great for gaming. :)
