I don't know if my CPU is dead

One day was using my PC and out of the blue it shuts down,
i have replaced the motherboard (MSI 760GM-P33 AM3), i have replaced the PSU (CORSAIR CXM series CX750M) and fans turn on but no display i am using a graphic card (GeForce GT 440) . do i need a new Processor ??

oh my no its rather old 2008 model thats why im leaning more to it going out, i doubt its the video card or the RAM

You removed graphics card during breadboarding, and used only 1 stick of RAM, with the mobo out of the case, correct?

What is the processor you have? If it's from 2008 is it even compatible with the new board?

Yes its compatible its worked for quite sometime

Yes i removed the graphic card switched the ram switch the displays switched the ram cards you name it

Well with all this info happening in all directions.. It's hard to pinpoint a problem! But from what I gathered so far can you put another processor in there for a test? It is looking like a CPU failure so far...
On a side note.. have you tried another graphics card? Sometimes when a card goes south it locks down the power supply.. had this happen to me once!

i took out the graphic card and just plugged the monitor straight to the motherboard and still no display =/
