2 windows files, i dont want one, it wont delete

Hey ive just bought an ssd and installed windows on it and i want to get rid of the old windows. I've tried deleting it wont delete i tried the msconfig way and it comes up with " system configuration cannot save the original boot configuration for later remonstration. boot changes will be reverted.
the system cannot find the path specified"

What to do?

When reinstalling windows you only need to format the partition you are installing it to. So in order to get rid of the old windows, do a fresh install, but only format the partition destined for it.

So i watched a linustechtips vid and he said u have to disconnect the old hard drive when installing on the ssd. Guess thats what i did wrong. Reinstalled with the old hdd and its working fine. Thanks for the replies
