I have 2 8 GB sticks of TridentX F3-2400C10D-16GTX which I understood to be compatible with my Asus Z97 Deluxe MB (Intel 4790k that I just put together. When I power it up, however, it stops at the"no memory" message (55) and numerous trials with the MEM OK button fail to make a difference. I'm thinking I'm either doing something wrong or this memory is, in fact, not compatible and I just blew $200.00!!
Anyone...please!!

Is your RAM seated properly? 90% of the time, if you have RAM and get the no memory message on POST, it's a seating issue. If not, then either the motherboard or the RAM is probably DoA would be my guess. There's no reason the MB wouldn't detect the RAM and no reason the RAM shouldn't work with that board.
