Okay, so this is pretty complicated but I'll try to make sense of my idea. I want to run 2 1TB ssd's in raid 0. Then I want to back those ssd's up with a 2TB hdd in raid 1. Could I do this and if so, how would I go about doing it? I really appreciate the help! Thank you!

Solution
Even if you could do it, the speed of the entire array would be limited to the speed of the slowest component - that is the 2GB HDD. The money spent on SSDs would be wasted; you might as well just use a couple of mirrored HDDs.

I've been trying to learn about it but I guess I haven't been looking up the right questions to learn for myself. Any ways, thank you for the response. I appreciate the help.
