amd athlon x4 750k vs new intel g3258 which is best? AMD'S two extra cores will provide more power or not?

The g3258 is a gimped processor that has good single threaded performance but absolutely chokes running multiple threads. Its multiple thread performance is a much worse than the X4 750K's single thread performance.

Complete lies. The G3258 outperforms the Athlon 750K in literally every area, even in games optimized for 4 threads. Do some research next time.

That was actually the exact series of benchmarks I was going to post.

Even in BF4, the most heavily multithreaded game in existence, the Pentium G3258 marginally beats the Athlon 750K.

And quoted from the Arma 3 summary (a quad-core game)...
"...The Athlon X4 750K, overclocked to 4.3 GHz across its four cores, cannot catch a stock dual-core Pentium G3258..."
