Can I bridge 3 electical phases to create a single data LAN by using powerline adaptors

My house is fed by a 3 phase mains, can I connect a powerline adaptor to each phase and then connect the adaptors to a single vlan on a router, hence
creating a single Data LAN for all my devices.

Is this possible or will I end up bridging the different phases ?

Solution
That should work, but you should still be careful when connecting the ethernet lines from the powerline adapters on different phases to your router and add an ethernet surge protector to each line for safety (in case of wiring problems or thunderstorms).

Something like this adapter should do fine on a grounded plug:

or this if the ground wire is connected to a grounded outlet:

Solution
While surge protection is always a good idea, it is no more important when using ethernet over power than any other application.
In fact, many surge protection devices filter out high frequency signals and may stop ethernet over power signals from coming through.

To use ethernet over power between phases you need to install a phase coupler.
This passes high frequency signals between the phases while still keeping them isolated at 50 Hz.

Ah, very true (about your first point) - the first link I provided also has outlet plugs, but I do not know if they are filtered. The second link is for an inline ethernet surge suppressor, so it does not have that problem.

It is also true that most houses have all plugs on a single phase in the US, but most apartment complexes and commercial buildings do not. I was assuming that this was a commercial application in the US. Your link for Australian wiring is interesting, I was not aware of this.
