Cpu cooler for amd fx 8350

Hi All
My system config is as below
1. AMD fx 8350 processor
2. Asrock fx 990 extreme 4 motherboard
3. Two rams a.8gb gskill 1600 ddr3 b. corsair vengence 4gb 1600 ddr3
4. A 500w smps

I am not planning of overclocking at all ,I stay in mumbai where normal temperature is 30c-35c &
i run virtual machines (i.e simultaneously about 5 vm at a time) ,I see my cpu temp reaching 70c & with average temps in range of about 40c to 50c .
Can you guys please let me know if i should go for a aftermarket cpu cooler or my temps are OK ,Also
let me know what benefits in term of temperature should i expect if i go for aftermarket cpu coolers.
Thanx in advance

  1. The hyper TX3 EVO is great value for money, having owned one myself it does keep temperatures down. But if you ever want to consider oveclocking at any point in the future, whether its 5-10 years away. I would also recommend the Hyper 212 evo/plus. as that is also great value for money and has been king of CPU heatsinks for a while

    Thanx .
Can you please share your normal temperatures.
& if i am not thinking of overlocking at this moment should I stick to my stock cooler.

You should be looking at about 35-45 degree Celsius at idle, and about 50-60 under load

    with the tx3

    Hi Tom

Do you mean 70% cpu utilization by load .
  5. the best bang for buck af cooler would be coolermaster hyper 212 evo its around 2700/- .........the benefits would be low noise low cpu temps at load....but how much no one can surely tell because it depends upon the ambient room temperature & the airflow within the case but it will be cooler .......but if u want to heavy overclock your cpu in future then go for a liquid cooler like corsair h100 around 7500/-
  6. Load is around 85-100%
