Okay...this one is a doozy, but I've been here before lurking and I've seen just about every question answered so I'm hoping someone out there can help me with this. Much thanks before hand.

Anyways.

We live in China at the moment. I don't speak Chinese at all, while my husband is an intermediate speaker. <-- This information is relevant to this topic, I swear.

We had internet installed by someone who spoke English. Someone from the internet company came, set up our Wifi, everything was great. They left and we were happy to use the internet for three months.

Then came the problem. The internet company stopped our internet because they didn't receive payment, so we called up the company and for whatever reason, they thought we were new customers when all we wanted was to reinstall internet service.

They sent someone over, my husband tried to explain the issue, and then he gives the guy our WiFi password.

Only problem is, he misspelled the password. /sigh

The service guy apparently didn't want to tell my husband "Hey, dude, the password is wrong, care to try to give me the correct one?" and so he did something which took less than 5 minutes, upon which we went on his merry way.

I don't know what he did. All I know is that we don't have Wifi anymore. Instead, the guy gave us a username and password, which were the same, and now we have to first log into our Wifi connection, which says "Limited" and then we have to go through Broadband Connection, enter in the username/password combo, and only then can we get online. This is a major PITA because only one person can be online at any time (Oh, first world problems) and we don't have Wifi for our phones and tablets anymore, which is annoying as heck.

I need to know how to set our Wifi back up and get rid of this Broadband Connection thingie. I can't call the internet connection company because we don't speak the language and I don't want to bug any of our native friends about this.

You folks are the next best thing.

Our computers have Windows 8(boooo) and Windows XP and our Wifi modem is a Mercury 3000.

Thanks again in advance.
