Protect from static electricity

about to build a computer, what can i do to protect compoents from static build up, i've bought an anti static wrist strap but what else could i do to protect the parts?

I
Leave the pc plugged in, but not switched on by the psu. Touch the frame while working on the pc - to keep yourself and ite earthed.

Don't work with synthetic clothes on or on a synthetics carpet. use a wooden bench on a wooden floor.
