Hello Guys, I want to know that my Zotac Geforce GTX 750 1GB is giving me Good performance or not ? and i have checked fps with Fraps for some of my games
Guys, i m getting mentioned fps below with every game on 1920*1080 with no AA
1). 62-66 fps in Tomb Raider at Ultra settings
2). 45-55 fps on High settings in Crysis 3
3). 50-60 fps in Bioshock infinite at ultra settings
4). 55-65 fps in Max Payne at ultra settings
5). 55-62 fps in Far Cry 3 at ultra settings
6). 35-42 fps in Hitman Absolution at ultra settings
So guys is it GOOD or OK type performance by this graphic card or should i overclock my graphic card?
Will i get boost in my Gaming experinece after overclocking?

Solution
a gtx 750 should overclock about 15% giving you about a 15% performance increase. However those numbers look pretty good for that card as it is.

So if your willing to take the time to do it correctly to insure stable temps.(also you should check to see what your temps are under load anyways before you attempt to overclock it.) and a safe overclock then sure do the overclock it will allow you to punch some games a little higher in settings and such and give you better performance in games that are merely running ok now.

If you decide to overclock there are some very good guides to overclocking GPU

Also i found that this should be a safe overclock on the core however no other information on the Ram.
1120Mhz on the core clock

Hope this helps have a great day.

That's very good fps for that card, and good fps overall for high-ultra settings in relatively recent games. I'd doubt the numbers actually, but I'm getting slightly better performance with my GTX 750 Ti with slight AA, so it seems reasonable. It just seems to highlight that spending $300+ on a video card is becoming less necessary as the years go by.

However, you'd still get higher fps from overclocking of course. The GTX 750s overclock very well, as a direct result of requiring such little power and heat to begin with. If you're not happy with the fps/settings you're getting, it's worth a try.

Hello mate, first of all thanks for the answer and dude i m not lying to anyone because i have tested all of them through some benchmark tests and checked the fps using FRAPS also. and dude i was not that much happy in case of Crysis 3 because during some really massive fights my fps drop-out to 32-38 fps approx.

Well crysis 3 is a very cpu intensive game So it is quite likely that you may be CPU bound as we do not have knowledge of your cpu, its hard telling. However those are not bad, with a mild overclock to both cpu and gpu you could probably substantially increase those FPS 15-30% depending on your overclock. Also you have to realize that a GTX 750 is still considered an Entry level GPU, and that alot of those games are very high end games that would have required much more expensive GPU's in the past.

There are other options if you don't like the performance Overclock, or get rid of the 750 and buy something higher end. Right Now I know that Newegg currently is selling a Radeon HD 6970 for 99.00$ otherwise you are getting performance indicative of GTX 750.

If your interested However this card may require a larger power supply than you currently have. This card is however, a couple year old model it is the top of the line model. should run circles around a GTX 750.

I wouldn't advise switching to anything as old as the 6790. It's probably a bit stronger than a GTX 750, but not enough to be worth a switch, even without considering the loss of hardware PhysX or the energy inefficiency and heat. The GTX 750 actually comes out ahead in some benchmarks.

as I said this is just offering suggestions, and you do realize I was talking about a radeon HD 6970, not 6790 ...

Actually after doing some digging you are getting better than average results many people are unable to play more than medium in several of the titles you are playing..

I never get the power consumption argument I mean honestly if it gets you the performance you want do you honestly care if it cost you 2-3$ more a month in electricity??? doubtful, otherwise you wouldn't spend so much money on components. If we were talking 30-40$ a month I would get it, however this is far from that.

Its not about that, its about the PSU, more tdp = need better power supply which will cost more $$
