i can't activate windows

my brother bought a windows 8.1 disc and he installed it and activated his windows with the key, but then he borrowed me the disc to get on windows 8.1, i couldn't activate my account so every 1 hr 30 mins get a window pop up saying activate windows which tabs me out of everything i am doing and this is ruining my time on the computer and i cant customise my windows either and and i have no idea how to fix this problem without buying a new disc to activate windows?

As long as you have your own Win8 key there shouldn't be a problem.

You need your own copy.. you cant copy your brothers and use his key.(unless he has a volume key.. which I bet he does not).
You need to be licenced.. so you need buy windows.
What you doing sounds like piracy.

You need one key per computer it is installed on. Unless he had a spare key, you're either going to have to buy a new copy or use a free OS.

Note: If either of you are in college, you may be able to get a discounted student copy.
