was using that link because if I get a 290 it will be the tri x because that is what is most recommended...but they dont have an aftermarket 780 on the graphs to compare fps only stock...I was looking at the dual ftw acx since it is under 500 and has a higher core clock compared to superclocked acx which is 35 more than ftw or should i go with a different model like gigabyte windforce

should i go with an i5 4690k or i7 4790k for my build?
still stuck on motherboard as well what do you guys recommend?

Solution
R9 290 offers better performance for a lower price. For gaming an i5 4690K is enough, you won't see a lot of performance increase on a i7 4690K.
The motherboard doesn't matter that much for gaming, just get one that matches your color scheme but usually ASUS is the best.
I have an MSI motherboard witch is not as good as ASUS but it's still fine. In raw performance motherboards are about the same.

That is a nice looking build you have there, though what motherboard are you going to get for your build?

I would go with the r9 290 if you don't mind a bit more heat production, not quite as good drivers and higher power consumption, but the up side is that you get a bit more performance in most games for less money than the gtx780
