Hi

I am planning to buy a budget cooler for my FX-8350. The stock cooler is too noisy and the temps go above 65c during summer months. I do not intend to overclock. I have shortlisted CM 212 evo and Deepcool Lucifer. Please suggest which of these is better, or if you know any other cooler which you think would be more suitable within the price range.

I would go with the Deepcool Lucifer and im not happy with the 212 evo. My temperatures was 28c idle and 35c load on Hyper n520 but it was noisy with 2 92mm fans. I bought the evo because everyone kept telling me to get that it makes your cpu cool down to 21c and boy that was a mistake. 21c was from the 6 cores 31c idle 42c load but the fan is super quiet with an annoying humming noise.

And its a pain to clean the evo with the small gaps in the heat pipes i have to use 50 q tips to clean off the old thermal paste total 1 hour cleaning.

But thats just me i would prefer something simple with better performance and i could care about noise since i use headphones.

Deepcool Lucifer crushes the EVO.

the EVO is just a budget cooler , the LUCIFER is the real deal.

I own the Deepcool Gamer ASSASSIN , they make great coolers.

Thank you for your replies. I have ordered the Lucifer along with a Deepcool UF140 fan for my GPU. I will write a review once I get it.
