I have bought an Acer Aspire 5742 laptop 4 years ago and Bios was locked since then.
I replaced the old HDD but I couldn't install windows obviously, so I had to reset BIOS by taking out the CMOS battery for 1 min or so.
After taking my laptop apart I realized, that it doesn't have a CMOS battery.
Is there any other way to reset BIOS?
