sorry for coming back to this post so late. would the Z97 Pro4 motherboard suit my build? (I will be going crossfire soon and OC the pc) and is it worth $129?

also whats bettere for my needs? a Gigabyte H97 ATX Gaming Motherboard or ASRock Fatal1ty H97 Performance LGA 1150 Motherboard

i5 4690 has locked multiplayer so practically there isnt any o/c ability. the only advantage is that you can run 1866/2133mhz ram out of it if you have. however i wouldnt crossfire. you will run into stuttering issues and the performance increase wont be that big.!you will also need a good 750w psu to do so.! i would save the money for a better single gpu! for 1080p one 280x is plenty!

I updated my 1st post.
and on the intel website it says it goes to 3.9 ghz.

Clock Speed 3.5 GHz / Max Turbo Frequency 3.9 GHz. depending the need, cpu will climb at this frequency regardless of your mobo.! for example, when gaming cpu will automatically lock at 3.9ghz . overclocking means you additionally increase ghz over 3.9 you will need an unlocked multiplayer (K) cpu and an (Z) mobo that will allow you to tweak multiplayer and voltage when needed! the h97mobos suggested are all good for your needs, Fatality one is also good!

sorry, I always seem to say that im finished and then ask for something else.
im going with the MSI H97 Gaming 3 ATX Motherboard, but iv heard that it's not good for going crossfire with as it will make not much difference to performance. is this true and if so what specs must it have so it can perform well with crossfire?

i wouldnt recommend crossfire!better invest money on a better gpu! however for optimal crossfire performance you need a mobo that can run 2x gpu at pcie_1x16 / pci3_2x8 or pcie_1x8 / pcie_2x8. to put it simple you will need a Z mobo
