I wanted to know whether the speed of the cpu matters or the model/number of cores...cuz my cpu speed is more than the minimum requirement but the model/number of cores is inferior...

If I can only play it in low settings, thats ok for me...just that it shouldnt lag...

CPU doesn't utilize GPU, Games and graphic intensive tasks do.
You can pair a Pentium with R9 290X with no issues if the MoBo is compatible with both (It'd be a terrible combo though).

But the prices vary from one manufacturer to another. It can be anywhere near $110 to $230.

If you plan to go with one for below $120, then R7 260X is a much better card.
If for $140 you can get 750 Ti or R7 265, I'd recommend 265 though.
For $170 you can get R9 270 which is even better.
If you plan to spend $180+ on the card, get a R9 270X.
If you wish to spend $200+ on this one:
wtf you think you doing?

Get R7 260X for the low price. Its much better.

I'm buying a new gpu (but not a cpu) for fifa 15 (cuz there's no way my Radeon HD 4350 is going to run it)...thats y I was worried whether my core 2 duo will interfere with my new gpu's performance...but now I'm relieved!!! Thnx so much...cud u also tell me whether my Dell 0k83v0 a00 motherboard wud support a GTX 650ti, GTX 750 or an AMD Radeon HD 7770??? I created a new thread regarding that on the Tom's Hardware forum...but I haven't got any answers yet...
