I'm having a problem with my new assembled system it keeps hanging up when playing games or high GPU load, I thought it was the video card overheating, but when I replaced my PSU from my friend's, it didn't hang up anymore, also testing the video card on his system was ok too.
So I ask for a replacement for my PSU, now it doesn't hangup but just freezes for 10 seconds or less...sometimes more.
it could be the PSU is incompatible with my mainboard? or I'm just unlucky and got another defective PSU.
now it's stable using my friends PSU(only 600 watts and already old)
*CPU(using prime 95) , RAM testing is okay too and Video Memory Test results is passed.
*System is also reinstalled from a fresh copy of windows 7, a lot of times
*Nvidia Driver is upto date
my specs
PSU - corsair RM850
VGA - galaxy GTX 660 GC
cpu - I7 4990K
mb - msi gaming 5
thanks
