Hundreds of Jpg files on hard drive wont open.

However, they are limited to jpg files that we're taken with one specific camera. They previously opened, but now any photos that were taken with this camera are not opening. I have previously opened these files, but cannot now. Other photos (taken with different cameras) are located within the same folder, but do not experience the same issues.

I have tried to open the images in paint and Gimp with no success. Using jpeg snoop, i receive the following error:

NOTE: File did not start with JPEG marker. Consider using [Tools->Img Search Fwd] to locate embedded JPEG.

After performing a forward search, the software indicates that no SOI marker could be found.

would try converting one of the jpgs to a different file format such as PNG

I tried changing to .png, .jpeg, .bmp, etc. unfortunately I still receive the same error.

Hi Billibridge,

Please check the camera settings, in which format it saves the images.
