I just see that NewEgg has some Crucial DDR4 on Pre-Order. The price is high, but i think not that much considering that is a new standard. The only thing that makes me consider buy DDR3 instead of one of these is the CL of 16, but my new build has to last almost 4 years, so spending on the old tech may be a problem for future upgrades.

what do you think? this price is high as lots of people thought or really is not that high considering that this is the new memory standard?

As i see, this price allow to see the X99 platform as a good option in the coming months. We just need some initial benchmarks and the final information on motherboards. In my case, i´m waiting for the ASUS Rampage.

Right now I'm running Z77 on my White Knight rig and I've held off on Z87 and Z97 in favor of X99, and from all the specs and everything else I've been reading it looks sweet. And DDR4 definitely looks to be a serious game changer. I can't wait to get my system running on X99.
