Memory help please

I bought a new Maximus VII Formula/Watch Dog motherboard. What is the best memory ram in 2 x 8 sticks so I can later put another 2 sticks to make it 32 GB's. I can get that will work great and not tear my wallet up. I was looking at the Dominator platinum but asus says it has to be ver 4.21 or 5.29 and (XMP). Everything I have looked at on the internet does not give me a version number. I usually order from Newegg. I am leaning towards Corsair and the Gskills. I am lost. Can someone help me please. I also bought the new Haswell CPU 4.0. Once I figure the memory out I can build my machine. Also got the Asus GTX-780.

16GB should be more than enough for gaming for the near foreseeable future, most consider 8GB as plenty for gaming, but as games continue to use the DRAM more and more and more people are recording as they game and have other things running in the background, 16GB is a good spot

What will you be doing with the rig? With your combo I'd initially think start with 2x8GB of GSkill Snipers or Tridents (little better performance) is 1866 or 2133, especially if thinking 32GB down the road as it doesn't sound like a gaming rig

Thank you for your reply. Yes it will be high end gaming. I looked at the VQL from Asus. I was looking at the Corsair Platinum Dominator but it says make sure they are certain versions. I am lost in this category. I saw the Adata memory sticks but cannot find anywhere to buy them and someone said to get Apacer. I would like to put to 8GB sticks in (XMP) so I can add two more later.
