I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine. There's a whole lot of those boards out there running that CPU. Boards that were bought way before now. I'd be really surprised to see that the board didn't have the latest or near latest BIOS if bought from a retailer like Newegg.

Of course. Unless you buy from some mom and pop computer shop and its been gathering dust for three years I can almost assure you a popular brand like ASUS will have the most recent BIOS (if you buy from some place like Newegg or Amazon).

You won't have a problem buying from a good online store. Unless it's been setting for years in some rinky dink local store like the other person said you should be fine. I've literally never heard of anybody having a problem running a Vishera in any modern AM3+ motherboard. And yeah worst comes to worst just buy the cheap sempron cpu to flash the new bios

edit: That's a really cool looking new MSI AM3+ motherboard. Weird for them to even come out with a new AM3+ mobo though, thought that socket was dead?

If I build an AMD pc I'll probably def use that mobo, I like how it looks. I think alot of the AMD mobos look ugly >_>

Came out back in June, http://www.techpowerup.com/201561/msi-shows-off-970-gaming-socket-am3-motherboard.html

Actually has good SLI support, that MSI g46 board has SLI but has horrible reviews on newegg. This new MSI seems good and supports 8x on both slots in SLI/Crossfire
