Can you provide the brand of your PSU (power supply unit) because it´s weird that your gpu doesn´t work with your motherboard, in fact if you have a pci-e port in your motherboard any of the actual gpu will work for sure unless your PSU can´t handle it or something like that.

Ok, Im pretty sure now that you must change that psu, is important to choose a reliable brand choosing a psu, if you dont you can encounter this kind of problem or maybe worst. Try to find if your old gpu can work in another build so we can exclude that your gpu its not damage and your new one also, if it works then you should spend that money in a new psu, with that money maybe something more I can find you a good one, but before that I want to make sure your components are still working fine.
