Hello I am putting a component list together for a new desktop build and I need advice on the Power supply unit for it, i.e. a safe power range for supporting the system.
Primarily used for web browsing, media consumption (music and film) and of course gaming.
(Starcraft II, HOS, EVE, etc).

So far the build will consist of:

CPU - Intel i5 4690K
Mobo - ASRock Z97 Extreme4
Ram - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) CL9 DDR3 2400Mhz
HD - Samsung 840 Pro 2.5" 256GB SATA III SSD
HD2 - Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA III 3.5" Hard Drive
GPU - 2 x AMD HIS HD 7950 IceQ

I am still deciding on a monitor (sub £150)

The PSU I picked for the build is - Seasonic Platinum 660W 80+ Platinum Full Full Modular Power Supply (PSU) - SS-660XP2.

So would the PSU be able to comfortably support two 7950's in SLI? Also if I tinkered around with a small - substantial overclock on the CPU and GPU's, would I still be in a comfortable zone with the PSU even under medium - heavy load?

Thanks in advance, information is appreciated.

it will run the setup! it is an excellent unit. however i would suggest this one.another excellent unit 750w and with a better price! also here is a nice gaming oriented monitor with a fast panel and minimum input lag!
